The HITECH Act, Regional Extension Centers and Meaningful Use
Please join us for a discussion of the Gulf Coast Regional Extension Center (GCREC) and its impact on our practices. Kim Dunn MD, PhD, will lead us through a discussion of the opportunities that HITECH is bringing through the GCREC and their goal of helping implement “meaningful use” in our practices.
“The mission of the Gulf Coast Regional Extension Center (GCREC) is to facilitate safe, effective, and meaningful use of state-of-the-art health information technology by all healthcare providers in the region by focusing on primary care practices and their integration with local, state, and federal Health Information Exchange activities with the ultimate goal of improving the health of the citizens they serve.”
